Performance Marketing Specialist

The Performance Marketing Specialist is the key stakeholder for St Michaels digital landscape and performance, responsible for our online branding, CRM strategy and ecommerce results. 

This includes enhancements of all online presences for the brand (including content management), digital media planning and creation and execution of online advertising and coordination and assessment of targeted client e-communications.  

The role will assist in the creation and implementation of the marketing and e-commerce strategy for the whole resort (covering Rooms, Food & Drink, Meetings & Events, Health Club & Spa) in order to increase the hotel’s revenue across all markets and segments.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

WEBSITES:  

  • Continual analysis and development of website to increase traffic, engagement, conversions, online sales and offline sales demand. 
  • Create, manage & review all digital advertising campaigns, including Pay Per Click, Display, Retargeting, Meta and Paid Social. 
  • Lead St Michaels’ online content strategy to improve engagement and SEO performance, including Google Tag Manager maintenance and implementation and development of the site.
  • Manage external web development & digital agencies.  
  • Monitor and manage all third-party web listings. 
  • Produce weekly reports on digital performance, identifying actions and outcomes to influence trading. 

 

CRM & EMAIL: 

  • Monitor St Michaels’ CRM systems and administer/interrogate where necessary  
  • Develop and implement segmentation strategies to target email campaigns  
  • Build and extract mailing lists when required 
  • Using segmentation groups, set email campaigns at Resort, Rooms, Spa, Health Club and Food & Beverage levels 
  • Ensure a strong email automation customer journey is in place 
  • Through pre-stay emails, upsell and convert OTA customers to direct 
  • Create enticing campaigns for current, lapsed and prospect customers 
  • Drive database growth and measure, analyse and report on all e-marketing campaigns 

 

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: 

  • Monitor, track and operate within the agreed yearly budget and targets 

 

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience 
  • Strong project management and organisational skills  
  • A passion for digital and developing technology  
  • Expert, hands-on experience with PPC and paid media platforms, including social 
  • Strong knowledge of best SEO practice 
  • Experience of reporting on organic and paid-for online campaigns  
  • Strong analytical ability with Google Analytics experience 
  • E-marketing campaign building experience 
  • Dotmailer experience an advantage 
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS 
  • CRM and segmentation experience and understanding 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills   
  • Display initiative, an eye for detail and effective research skills  
  • Be a team player, resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people 
  • Able to work under pressure to short deadlines  
  • Experience within the hospitality industry is an advantage, but not critical

Chef de Partie

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Chef de Partie to join our friendly and professional kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate should have excellent cooking skills and experience as Chef de Partie.

Our kitchen brigade is friendly and hardworking; the core of which is going into a third summer together. We are looking to expand as we open new areas and revenue streams. The perfect candidate will have an eye for detail and will be passionate about maintaining and developing our already high standards. We are looking for someone who is happy to hit the ground running, calm under pressure, passionate about cooking, works well in a team and is able to use their experience with aptitude and consistency. Punctuality will also be key in this role.

The hours will be varied and will include some early and late shifts; weekend and holiday working is normal; however all our chefs work a compressed four-day working week.

Food & Beverage Assistants

We are looking for experienced Food & Beverage Assistants to join our friendly and hard working F&B crew.

The perfect candidate will be passionate about maintaining and improving the Resort's food and beverage service track record and will want to work in a 2AA Rosette environment. We are looking for someone who is happy to hit the ground running, use their experience and wants to make a career in Hospitality. Room Attendants

Due to increased and sustained levels of business at the Resort we are looking for Room Attendants to join our friendly and dynamic crew. These roles are full-time and permanent; please only apply if you can work 5 days a week!

Our Room Attendants work in a small close-knit team servicing guest bedrooms quickly and efficiently. No previous experience necessary, but an eye for detail and willingness to get stuck in with good levels of physical fitness is essential; as is a sense of humour!

As we are a Resort open 365 days a year this role will involve working weekends and holidays. Our Room Attendants generally 10am-5pm, but we can flex a little to suit the right candidates and we will need some flexibility from you too.

Spa Cleaning Attendant

We are looking for a Spa Cleaning Attendants to join our friendly Spa crew. These roles will encompass all elements of cleaning our awarding-winning Spa; from cleaning changing rooms, poolside and communal areas to carrying and sorting towels. This role will be across various days, including the weekends, and shift patterns. We would consider flexing the requirements of the role to suit the right candidates.

Spa Therapist

St Michaels Resort, Falmouth is looking to recruit a full-time Spa Therapist. St Michaels Spa has the largest hydrotherapy pool in the south west, 10 treatment rooms, a Rhassoul, two steam rooms, indoor and outdoor saunas and a champagne mani/pedi bar. The Spa has been awarded 5 bubbles by The Good Spa Guide as well as being awarded Silver in the 2020/2021 Cornwall Tourism Awards and Gold in the 2019/2020.

We are looking for an energetic and hard-working Spa therapist to join our Spa team on a full-time basis. Keen to WOW our guests and sign up to our Resort’s Vision, Mission and Values, you will play a key role in providing an amazing experience for our guests. We are looking for Spa therapists who enjoy working with people and are passionate about delivering the highest standards of guest service every single time.

As a Spa therapist at the Resort, you will actively promote a friendly, calm and relaxing environment for all our guests. You will have a real passion for Spa and Wellness and want to provide the best therapeutic, holistic and beauty treatments time and again. Once your treatments are complete, you’ll confidently upsell treatment-linked retail products to further WOW our clients and meet sales targets. You will be used to providing a range of different treatments throughout each shift and will have the stamina to work day in, day out in a busy Spa. You will be driven by a desire to exceed your guests’ expectations, including upholding high levels of appearance, Spa cleanliness and hygiene levels.

Job requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 qualified
  • At least 1 year’s Spa experience
  • Solid Product House knowledge with training in Elemis an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
