Breakfast Chef

We operate a 2 chef breakfast service and are looking to recruit a second full time Breakfast chef to join our already strong brigade.

Consistency and punctuality will be key in this role. The perfect candidate will have an eye for detail and will be passionate about maintaining the Resort's 2AA Rosette as part of our breakfast service. We are looking for someone who is happy to hit the ground running, calm under pressure and use their experience (must have busy commercial kitchen experience).

Digital Marketing Executive

 

The Digital Marketing Executive is a key member of the St Michaels marketing team, responsible for the digital landscape and performance of the resort online.

This will cover execution of online advertising, updating content and performance analysis of the website.

The role will assist in the creation and implementation of the marketing and e-commerce strategy for the whole resort (covering Rooms, Food & Drink, Meetings & Events, Health Club & Spa) in order to increase the hotel’s revenue across all markets and segments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· WEBSITES:

o Continual analysis and development of website to increase traffic, engagement, conversions, online sales and offline demand.

o Manage & review all digital advertising campaigns, including Pay Per Click, Display, Retargeting, Meta and Paid Social.

o Implement St Michaels’ online content strategy to improve engagement and SEO performance, including Google Tag Manager maintenance and implementation.

o Work with external web development & digital agencies to drive performance.

o Basic HTML editing and hard coding elements of both website and Guest App.

o Produce weekly reports on digital performance, identifying actions and outcomes to influence trading.

· CRM & EMAIL:

o Monitor St Michaels’ CRM systems and administer/interrogate where necessary

o Develop and implement segmentation strategies to target email campaigns

o Build and extract mailing lists when required

o Using segmentation groups, set email campaigns at Resort, Rooms, Spa, Health Club and Food & Beverage levels

o Ensure a strong email automation customer journey is in place

o Through pre-stay emails, upsell and convert OTA customers to direct

o Create enticing campaigns for current, lapsed and prospect customers

o Drive database growth and measure, analyse and report on all e-marketing campaigns

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· A minimum of 2 years marketing experience

· A passion for digital and developing technology

· Hands-on experience with PPC and paid media platforms, including social

· Good knowledge of best SEO practice

· Experience of reporting on organic and paid-for online campaigns

· Strong analytical ability with Google Analytics experience

· E-marketing campaign building experience

· Dotmailer (or similar) experience an advantage

· Knowledge of HTML & CSS

· CRM and segmentation experience and understanding

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

· Display initiative, an eye for detail and effective research skills

· Be a team player, resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people

· Able to work under pressure to short deadlines

· Experience within the hospitality industry is an advantage, but not critical

Head Of Marketing

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing executive to join the St Michaels crew as the Head of Marketing. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Head of Marketing will determine the marketing strategy, budget, and business plan in line with resort wide objectives and develop the media strategy aligned to this, in order to increase market penetration and profitability.

You are a digital native, but you have experience with traditional ways of marketing. You can understand technical concepts and look for data-driven solutions.

The position is responsible for managing the promotion and positioning of St Michaels Resort and oversees for the creation, publication and distribution of content across all channels to support sales, marketing, and operational activities, whilst ensuring the development of the company’s business and brand reputation. They will be responsible for the Resorts digital foot-print ensuring the website, booking engine and social channels are as efficient and effective as possible.

The position will help shape and execute the marketing strategy for all aspects of the resort (Rooms, Food & Drink, Meetings & Events, Health Club, Spa and the self-catering apartments) in order to increase the resort’s revenue across all markets and segments.

The role will manage the annual marketing activation plan and calendar focused on driving business into low & shoulder seasons while enhancing the guest experience during peak seasons.

In addition, the role will be the key liaison between the resort and the PR agency, media & creative agencies and other promotional programmes as required.

The Head of Marketing is a key member of the Commercial Team working closely with Sales and Revenue Management to meet and exceed the resort sales and occupancy targets.

Health Club Attendant

We are looking for a Health Club Attendant to join our friendly and dynamic crew. These roles encompass all elements of what our health club team do on a daily basis, from cleaning changing rooms, poolside and communal areas to carrying and sorting towels. This role will be across various days, including the weekends, and shift patterns (generally 8am-2pm or 2pm-10pm). We would consider flexing the requirements of the role to suit the right candidates.

We are currently looking for full time Food & Beverage Assistants to join our friendly and hard working F&B crew.

The perfect candidate will be passionate about maintaining and promoting the Resort's identity and will want to work in a 2AA Rosette environment. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a fast paced environment at one of Cornwall's finest Resorts.

The hours will be flexible, early and late shifts, Monday-Sunday. Experience preferred but not essential.

Room Attendants

Due to increased and sustained levels of business at the Resort we are looking for Room Attendants to join our friendly and dynamic crew. These roles are full-time and permanent; please only apply if you can work 5 days a week!

Our Room Attendants work in a small close-knit team servicing guest bedrooms quickly and efficiently. No previous experience necessary, but an eye for detail and willingness to get stuck in with good levels of physical fitness is essential; as is a sense of humour!

This role will involve working Monday-Friday. Our Room Attendants work 9.00am-3.00pm, but we can flex a little to suit the right candidates and we will need some flexibility from you too.
