Membership Sales Executive

As a membership sales executive, you will be responsible for pro-actively growing our Health Club, ensuring all incoming prospect enquiries are converted into members. The resort already looks after a substantial number of local members but due to Covid, numbers have dropped significantly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maximalising new business opportunities by networking and building relationships with local businesses and customers, ensuring conversion of all enquiries.
  • Handling any queries relating to memberships
  • Manage customers lifecycle from start to finish
  • To help maximize the profitability of the Health Club
  • Ensuring new members are on-boarded correctly and set up for class bookings
  • Explore all up-selling opportunities throughout the sales process
  • Arrange and conduct inspection visits for potential customers, organising open days and visiting corporate companies to gain further business.

 

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Sales experience
  • Excellent, concise and professional telephone manner essential
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills
  • Confident to work alone, with a level-headed approach to a busy work environment
  • Good computer skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Must be self-motivated, whilst understanding the importance of working as part of a team;
  • A positive and outgoing personality is essential
  • This position is hands-on, customer focused role and as such we require someone with drive, efficiency and assertiveness
  • High initiative and positive attitude
  • Flexibility is essential as you may be required to work evenings and weekends
  • Hospitality or leisure sales experience advantageous
  • Passionate about wellness and fitness advantageous

 

REMUNERATION

Your salary will be £21,000.00 per annum, payable monthly in arrears based over 40 hours per week. In addition to your base salary, you will be able to earn monthly and quarterly commission based on the growing and maintaining a profitable membership.

Duty Manager

We are looking for a Duty Manager to fully embrace the Resorts Vision, Mission and Values personalising every interaction with a warm and genuine interest WOWing our guests time and time again. Reporting to the Front of House Manager. As Duty Manager you will play a key role in ensuring our guest journey runs like clockwork. You remain calm during challenging situations; whether it involves guest complaints, scheduling issues or staff members. No two days are ever the same and you will need to flexible to adapt to changing situations whenever they arise; be it coordinating any maintenance issues with the property team, dealing with an emergency situation or supporting other areas of the hotel when issues arise. This is not a ‘Standard’ Management role – DO NOT EXPECT TO BE SAT AT A DESK! You will need to have serious stamina and passion, be highly social, upbeat and friendly, confident and thrive under pressure. In turn you’ll be supported by the Front of House Manager, the rest of the Front of House team, and the wider Crew.

As our perfect Duty Manager you will;

  • Be the first responder in the event of an emergency or any guest incidents throughout the hotel, ensuring they are dealt with in an efficient manner
  • Support all departments when needed with guest queries and people support
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote all the services at the hotel to a very high standard, upselling seamlessly when able
  • Be able to deal with a problem, should it arise, going the extra mile to solve it, seeing it through to the conclusion
  • Be capable of making quick decisions, ones which you’re sure are the best course of action for both our guests and associates alike
  • Provide Arrival Lounge presence and Reception cover during busy periods to meet and greet guests with warmth and answering any queries they may have

 

Requirements

  • Substantial previous experience at Supervisor or Manager level within hospitality is essential
  • Knowledge of HotelPerfect an advantage
  • Confident, professional and welcoming personality
  • A high standard of personal presentation
  • Strong customer care skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You will be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • You will be flexible and well organised; hours are an average of 40+ hours per week 5/7 days. We expect the role holder to want to work weekends and holiday periods as these are our busiest times.

Front of House Hosts

Our Front of House Hosts are the welcoming faces of the Resort and first point of contact for everyone visiting St Michaels. You must be warm, outgoing and have a high standard of personal presentation. Key in ensuring our guests love every moment of their experience at St Michaels, you love making people feel special and will want to personalise every experience. Coupled with this, you are organised, patient, level-headed, and cool under pressure.

As our perfect Front of House Host you will;

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but a willingness to learn, the right attitude and a willingness to sign up to our companies Vision, Mission and Values is more important.
You must have a high level of IT competency including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Knowledge of hotel management software such as HotelPerfect would also be advantageous.
Our busiest times are weekends and holiday periods so you should expect to work those periods on a regular basis in both the full-time and part-time roles.

Night Duty Managers

Working on your own for much of your shift, you will need to think on your feet, proactively solving problems and be versatile, supporting all departments. This is a really varied role, where you will be involved in every step of our customer journey, from check in through to preparing room service orders, serving on the bar and cleaning our public areas.

No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be given to the successful candidate, but a proven track-record of working nights would be an advantage and previous relevant experience in a Hotel a bonus. A current First Aid qualification would also be beneficial.

Our Night Duty Managers work on a rolling shift pattern of 4 nights on, four nights off, with flexibility to cover holidays and workdays if and when required. Our busiest times are weekends and holiday periods so you should expect to work those periods on a regular basis.

Spa Therapist

St Michaels Resort, Falmouth is looking to recruit a full-time Spa Therapist. St Michaels Spa has the largest hydrotherapy pool in the south west, 10 treatment rooms, a Rhassoul, two steam rooms, indoor and outdoor saunas and a champagne mani/pedi bar. The Spa has been awarded 5 bubbles by The Good Spa Guide as well as being awarded Silver in the 2020/2021 Cornwall Tourism Awards and Gold in the 2019/2020.

We are looking for an energetic and hard-working Spa therapist to join our Spa team on a full-time basis. Keen to WOW our guests and sign up to our Resort’s Vision, Mission and Values, you will play a key role in providing an amazing experience for our guests. We are looking for Spa therapists who enjoy working with people and are passionate about delivering the highest standards of guest service every single time.

As a Spa therapist at the Resort, you will actively promote a friendly, calm and relaxing environment for all our guests. You will have a real passion for Spa and Wellness and want to provide the best therapeutic, holistic and beauty treatments time and again. Once your treatments are complete, you’ll confidently upsell treatment-linked retail products to further WOW our clients and meet sales targets. You will be used to providing a range of different treatments throughout each shift and will have the stamina to work day in, day out in a busy Spa. You will be driven by a desire to exceed your guests’ expectations, including upholding high levels of appearance, Spa cleanliness and hygiene levels.

Job requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 qualified
  • At least 1 year’s Spa experience
  • Solid Product House knowledge with training in Elemis an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
