EVENTS TERMS & CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT

A function is only deemed confirmed by the hotel on receipt of written confirmation and a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the function value.

Where the event is within 30 days of the booking, both confirmation and full payment of the anticipated costs will need to be made.

Written confirmation must include minimum numbers with an agreed price per head.

Arrangements must be finalised 30 days in advance, an invoice will be prepared and full payment will be taken at this point.

Final numbers and pre-orders must reach the hotel at least 14 days in advance; if numbers increase then payment will be taken at this time. Any changes in numbers made after 14 days will unfortunately not be refunded.

The timing of the function must be agreed with St Michaels Resort at the time of booking.

Credit terms are not available unless you have opened a credit account with St Michaels Resort.

CANCELLATIONS

Any cancellation, postponement or significant changes in arrangements must be confirmed in writing. All deposits are non-refundable.

If the anticipated numbers decrease more than 10% within 14 days of the event date an additional charge may be added to the account. If this scenario arises, St Michaels Resort also reserves the right to change the booking to smaller room(s). In the event of a booking being cancelled St Michaels Resort will retain the deposit and additionally the following charges may be applied;
- within one month of the date, 100% will be charged
- within 2 to 6 months, 50% will be charged

LICENCES
The hotel has a full premises licence for the sale of liquor and also public entertainment. The bar will close at the same time as the evening entertainment finishes.

ACCOMMODATION
During the quieter months, special rates may be available for guests attending large events. All accommodation is subject to availability and the agreement must be confirmed at the time of booking the event. Separate accommodation Terms and Conditions apply.

FOOD AND DRINK
St Michaels Resort does not allow guests to bring their own food, wine, beer, spirits or soft drinks for consumption at an event, with the exception of celebratory cakes.

ALLERGEN INFORMATION
Before you order food and drink for you or your guests, please speak to one of our members of staff if there are any known food allergies or intolerances. We can tell you all the specified allergens that are present in our products. Although every effort is taken, as our kitchen handles food containing flour, eggs, milk, nuts and other allergens, there is always a risk of cross-contamination so we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free from any allergen.

St Michaels Resort bears no responsibility when undisclosed allergies cause an allergic reaction in our establishment.

WINE
In exceptional circumstances, wine selections may need to be changed to an alternative product. In this scenario, a wine of equal or greater style, quality and price will be guaranteed.

Corkage arrangements are not available.

EQUIPMENT AND EXTRA CHARGES

The client may be liable for electricity used other than by the hotel’s usual fixed equipment and lighting should these costs become unreasonable.

St Michaels Resort does not accept responsibility for the clients’ equipment.

ETIQUETTE

The client shall be responsible for the behaviour of their guests and any damage to hotel property, including theft and/or water damage.

Guests should not be excessive or rowdy. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated.

St Michaels Resort reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of music or behaviour of the client, guest or representative, and the client must take all steps necessary for corrective action should this be necessary.

In the event of failure to comply with management requests, St Michaels Resort reserves the right to terminate the contract or stop the event without being liable for any refund or compensation. We reserve the right to recover from the person making the booking any discretionary compensation payment or discount we may have to pay other guests, as a result of your actions or the actions of members of your party.

Evening entertainment must finish by the contracted time, and the noise must not be excessive. If other guests are disturbed, we reserve the right to insist the volume is reduced to an acceptable level. Consideration must be shown to other guests and our staff; we reserve the right to recover from the person making the booking any discretionary compensation payment or discount we may have to pay to other guests, as a result of your actions or the actions of members of your party.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND LIABILITY
St Michaels Resort cannot be held responsible for articles of value, other than those deposited with Reception for safe custody in the Hotel safe, for which a receipt will be given and must be retained by the customer. Loss or damage to any items must be reported to the Duty Manager before departure, otherwise no claim will be accepted. We accept no liability whatsoever for any accident, loss or damage to your property, unless such loss is demonstrably due to our negligence. We cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services (e.g. water, gas, electricity etc.) or for any disturbance beyond our control. In all cases, except personal injury or death, our liability to you for the total of all claims arising out of your event with us is limited to the cost of the booking.

VALIDITY OF PRICES
Prices and Terms and Conditions are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice with the exception of confirmed bookings. Confirmed bookings will not alter other than to reflect any changes in tax. E & OE.
