Originally built in the 1920s as two individual residences, St Michaels didn’t become a hotel until the 1940s, after it was transformed into a North American Military Hospital during World War Two.
Bought and renovated in the 1970s, the hotel thrived for years thanks to extensive improvements that expanded the hotel.
In 2001 Nigel and Julie Carpenter took over running the hotel, committing to rejuvenating it until it launched in 2018 as the St Michaels Resort it is today.
