Visiting Cornwall for Easter family fun

Explore

Easter 2023 is just around the corner, and we know just how daunting it can be to find things to do in Cornwall for families. In Cornish folklore, Cornish people would see Easter Sunday as a day to indulge rather than mourn, to celebrate new life.

And so families would take the day off to feast, picnic and walk. Traditionally, young people would take a walk to the historic St Michaels Mount.

Even in today’s Easter celebrations, Cornish Easter traditions involve a day out sailing, Dolly Dunking (quite literally meaning - dunking toy dolls in water to teach children how a baptism works) and eating hot cross buns for breakfast.
