Meet Our Spa Team
SpaWith years of experience between them, our Spa Manager Lucy and Training Manager Jo bring excellence to the St Michaels team.
MEET LUCY, OUR SPA MANAGER
I’m a busy mum of one who found my passion for beauty after studying in the field of communications and media. Following the completion of my qualifications I moved to Crete and worked for 5 years in one of the world’s most Luxurious 5 star resorts in Elounda, delivering treatments on royalty, professional footballers, fashion designers and hotel guests.
When I arrived back from Crete in 2013 I started working at St Michaels and took the spa to new level of greatness. Having been away from the hotel for 3 years I have become a Catey award winner, winning in 2015 ‘Spa Professional of the year’ and now a fellow Catey judge. I have also been a judge for the Cornish skills show, which showcases the best Cornwall has to offer in up and coming therapists. I am also proud to say that I was the first Spa manager to ever win Gold in the Cornwall Tourism Awards for Spa and Wellbeing Experience. I look forward to taking St Michaels on the same journey.
MEET JO, OUR TRAINING MANAGER
I have 9 years experience as a therapist and I absolutely love what I do. There is so much variety within my job role and I like to be flexible in between training the therapists to deliver treatments myself. My passions as a therapist are sports massages, make up and ELEMIS!
Sports massage was the path I chose after doing beauty as it interested me the most and I am so pleased that I did because it has given me so much knowledge about the body and different techniques that I would never of known.
I have only recently in the past 2 years really got involved with make up, I don’t plaster my skin with a full face but I understand my guests needs and how to create that best look for them!
Moving on to my biggest love which is Elemis! This brand is by far the best I have ever worked with, their concept is great, you can cater for any skin type and skin condition. It's never a hard sell with Elemis as we always are looking to help the guest with a home care that works best for them and their concern. Elemis was the turning point in my career as I was offered to be a in-house trainer for the hotel I worked for. I had intense training at the House of Elemis which I can now use anywhere I work, this has given me the skills to deliver the highest quality training to my therapists. Making me the only person outside of the Elemis training academy in the south west to be a fully qualified Elemis trainer.
Lastly I do have interests outside of work, I love working out, particularly with weights to keep myself in good shape. I also love to watch musicals and travel to different places in the world I haven’t been before!
Thank you for reading my blog I look forward to seeing your lovely faces around the spa and gym and hopefully be delivering a treatment on you very soon!

Enjoyed a stunning spa day with lunch as a belated Christmas present. Brilliant location and hydrotherapy pool, lovely food followed by one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommended.
Absolutely beautiful views and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Spa facilities were great especially love the outside barrel sauna with sea views. Food was excellent and breakfast was too.
We choose St Michaels as an overnight stay but wished we’d stayed longer! The staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms amazing and clean, facilities were fabulous and you couldn’t ask for a better location. We will definitely be booking again but next time for longer!
What a beautiful resort! We enjoyed 2 hours in the hydro spa on arrival. I've never felt so relaxed in my life! The facilities here are excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. The location of this place is wonderful - stones throw to the beach which we enjoyed a short walk on after dinner.
We will definitely be returning here!
Quite frankly the best Spa hotel we have ever stayed at. Staff were excellent. Professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room had everything and more. Food is amazing. Breakfast to die for. The spa beats every other one. we have ever been to. Highly recommend it and will be back as often as we can. Thankyou everyone for an amazing experience
I have visited St Michaels now on half a dozen occasions. It is like home away from home. The hotel is warm and welcoming with friendly staff. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the spa is amazing!!! I have visited with both family and friends, and each time we have had a brilliant stay. Highly recommended.
